We are glad to invite you to the workshop on "Advanced Metrology" organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh – 517619 India.
Objectives
This workshop is for presenting and discussing fundamentals, novel ideas, innovation trends, and experiences in the field of measurement. To provide the required accuracy at minimum cost with a reduction in the cost of rejects and rework, metrology would have a further objective in a modern engineering plant with different shops like Tool Room, Machine Shop, Press Shop, Plastic Shop, Pressure Die Casting Shop, Electroplating and Painting Shop, Assembly Shop, and also Research, Development and Engineering Department. This workshop gives an insight into reverse engineering concepts as well.
Important topics for discussion
Overview of Metrology; Dimensional Metrology; GD&T, Form Measurement; Surface Metrology; Interconnection between Manufacturing and Metrology; Reverse Engineering; Practical sessions on each topic

Workshop on Advanced Metrology: Tentative Program Schedule

We are glad to invite you to the 1st workshop on "Emerging Learning Methods and Systems" (ELMS) jointly organized by IIT Tirupati and University of Agder (UiA), Norway, from 15-17 July 2022 at the permanent campus of our IIT Tirupati.
This Workshop on ELMS is conducted as a part of the "Indo-Norwegian Collaboration in Intelligent Offshore Mechatronics Systems (INMOST)" project by the faculty from Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Tirupati and faculty of Engineering and Science, UiA.
This workshop presents the basics of various learning methods, particularly, (i) Supervised Machine Learning (ML), (ii) Deep Learning (DL), (iii) Reinforcement Learning (RL), and (iv) Social and Distributed Learning. It also presents an overview of the application of these methods to solving various system-level problems in various domains like computer vision, automotive, and industrial applications.There are many exciting talks lined up for this workshop by eminent researchers from India & abroad. Feb 7-9Three-Day Academic Writing Workshop
Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati in collaboration with ICSSR-SRC, Hyderabad organised a three-Day workshop on ‘Academic Writing' during February 07-09, 2020 at IIT Tirupati Campus. This workshop was designed to develop the autonomy, adoptability and responsibility in academic research and writing necessary for young researchers to excel in higher education. It aimed to enhance participants’ ability to engage in academic writing.
Feb 01Seminar on "Spectroscopy & Imaging in a Day"
A one-day seminar on spectroscopy and imaging technologies was hosted by IIT Tirupati on February 1, 2020 (Saturday) and has been jointly organized by the Department of Chemistry and PerkinElmer India Pvt. ltd. The main aim was to discuss the advances in spectroscopy and imaging technologies and their applications to diverse field of chemical sciences, physics, biological sciences, pharmaceuticals and engineering. There were over 75 attendees from the research community that included professors, technicians, postdoctoral fellows, PhD scholars, MSc and MTech students from over 15 different institutes/colleges....
